I picked her because as a kid I grew up listening to her and I really loved it. I think she is really interesting and unique. I don't really like 80's music but when it comes to her I can always make an exception . After I read her Biography I was happy to find out that she had grown up pretty normal but had some hard ships. she is very intelligent and I admire her support for the LGBTQ community .
"There have been great things that happened to me. If they didn`t happen to me, I wouldn`t be here. Everything was supposed to happen to me. I wouldn`t have the sight that I have, I wouldn`t have the creative moments that I have, I wouldn`t be able to articulate what I need to articulate. I wouldn`t have my son. I wouldn`t have my husband. I`m a lucky woman. Everything. Every single thing. There are no mistakes."
Marilyn Manson.
.
For today I chose Marilyn Manson. His music would be considered Heavy metal, industrial metal, shock rock, but fo me he is more then just a singer.
He has the mind set of someone who wants to reach the world but didn't know how to reach them. He found music to be the fastest way to be heard. He thrives on being different and making people feel uncomfortable. I really enjoy him because of how intelligent he is.
Anybody intelligent enough to realize what America is, is not going to sit around and do nothing about it. They're going to be the same way that I am. They're going to be the same way our fans are. They're going to be pissed.
Christina Aguilera for me is an inspiration. She had a rough child hood but made the best out of it with her voice. When she was very young her dad left her and her sister to fend for them selves. Growing up she preformed a lot but because of the jealousy form her peers she was made fun of and her mom had to pull her out of school to be home schooled. This how ever did not stop her at all. She Quickly became know and has continuously gotten more famous over the years. I appriciate how her songs talk about things other then boyfriends and common pop culture.
I love doing normal things - movies, shopping, going out with friends, writing, reading, taking hot bubble baths - that's a big one for relaxation. I also love to go to art and history museums.
Wow.. I don't evan know where to begin with bob Marley he is just so amazing. He grew up in Jamaica and came from a poor family. Him and a couple of his friends spent there time playing music and singing. The more he got known, the more dangerous the government thought he was. He got to a point where he couldn't be in Jamaica anymore because he had to much control over the people. He was actually shot before he fled. He was the first one to really introduce reggae to the rest of the wold and he is considered to be the king and grand father to reggae.

Shakira is a Colombian singer. I find her to be really interesting because of her language, almost all of her songs she does twice once in english and once in spanish. She just recently made a new song waka waka and its about the world cup and how this time it should be for africa. I find her to be very motivating and I really appreciate the fact that she dance her own style and is not counting on something made by some one else.

Pink.
Alicia Moore known as pink is one of the most amazing singers ever.I love her rebel mind set and how she portrays her self. I have been listening to her since i was very young and have written several essays about her. She strives for what she wants and sing about things people dont want her to. I respect her for being able to make fun of her self and the fact that she wants to make the world a better place. She supports PETA and is strictly vegan.
PInk Quotes.
My dad raised me with some good advice: "Always tell the truth. Always shoot from the hip. You might not have many friends, but you'll never have enemies, because people will always know where you're coming from."
I decided at 15 that I didn't want to be one of those artists that gets up and sings love songs they don't mean. I decided that I was going to be me to the fullest extent, that my songs were going to reflect relationships I've had, things I've been through, and even the stuff I'm embarrassed about.
When I was in seventh grade my mom caught me smoking cigarettes and punished me by making me smoke the entire carton. All it did was piss me off because I was out of cigarettes.
I appreciate being a girl more now than ever. There's a struggle involved in it, but it's so rewarding when you prove to all men that you might have something up on 'em.
I have to speak for myself. As far as videos go--casting, the artwork, everything--I'm completely hands-on. You have to be if you want your points across.
I've always loved to prove people wrong. I want to be able to cross color lines, because in music, there really is no barrier.
I would win on "Survivor" (2000) as long as I didn't have to eat bugs.
It takes a lot of people years to turn a negative into a positive. It takes me, like, an album.
Avatar (Swedish band)
Avatar Is a heavy metal melodic band from Sweden. They have four albums out and have a very unique sound. I find them to be very interesting becuase they have a lot of blues slid guitar in there music and i haven't heard that before. It has a catchy sound when you mix hard rock blues and his deep scream vocals. I can't tell you a whole lot on them because there is name is avatar so every time I look up there name it comes up with the movie or the tv show.
You feel a sudden pain
The night turns bright as day
This shit is going straight
Out of your mind
You start to feel afraid
It is the price you pay
To get the thrill
You need to stay alive
Let it burn!
Between the cuts and cries
You'll find a way to die
Just take a sip
And twist it like a knife
A city full of sound
Too late to turn around
You need to flee the light
To save your life
You like when it hurts?
Let it burn!
Let it burn!
You ain't sure what came first
Was it your flame or thisrt?
You need to please them both
To put you out
Another wasted youth
You thought you'd seen the truth
We need to find a voice
To help you shout
